As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Naples, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and other site needs. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Tue: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Wed: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at government facilities. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and prepare required reports. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with controlling entry and exit in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures. Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and perform duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and regulations. Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card or license. Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
