Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Litigation Paralegal role based in Houston, TX. The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all stages of personal injury litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and settlement. Daily responsibilities include drafting, formatting, and filing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents in state and federal courts. The role involves conducting legal and factual research, organizing and reviewing medical records and other evidence, and maintaining accurate case files and litigation calendars. The Litigation Paralegal will communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel, coordinate depositions and hearings, and assist attorneys in preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting and formatting litigation documents, with experience in Pleadings and Motions.
  • Proficiency in Document Review, including organizing and summarizing records, discovery materials, and evidence for attorney review.
  • Solid Legal Research abilities, including case law, statutes, and rules of civil procedure relevant to personal injury and litigation practice.
  • Experience managing litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings (e-filing) in state and federal courts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
  • Proficiency with legal practice management software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Prior experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation; trial support experience is strongly preferred.
