Senior Consultant - Data Governance

Qualifications Significant experience and track record of delivery of major Enterprise Data Management initiatives at large and complex financial institutions. Experience driving the creation and adoption of data governance policies and standards. Strong capital markets experience and deep understanding of front to back processes. Strong experience in regulatory projects is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical writing skills. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Project, SharePoint). Previous experience in Regulatory Reporting / Risk / Finance / Data Analytics / Operations / Controls / Systems Analysis / Quality Assurance. Proven experience in eliciting requirements and generating process documentation. Responsibilities We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Data Governance Consultant to join our Financial Services consulting team working on mission critical Enterprise Data Management programs at one of our multinational investment banking clients. As a Consultant, you will work on-site at our client as part of a cohesive consulting team and have interactions with senior stakeholders in addition to opportunities to own deliverables. The Data Office is responsible for effective and consistent Data Management of the bank’s data which is deemed critical across the organization. Establish the guiding principles and human organization that support the organization’s Enterprise Data Management strategy. Data Governance focuses on the establishment of policies and standards, the oversight and control of data management processes as well as the roles, responsibilities, and processes for ensuring accountability for and ownership of data. Drive the creation and adoption of enterprise data governance policies and standards. Drive the establishment of accountabilities through review of system data flows and manual processes. Facilitate workshops with Business to identify and educate key roles / stakeholders. Steer the adoption and assessment of data governance principles business and the EDM organization. Manage documentation in a well-structured manner to ensure clarity, enable knowledge management, track progress and evidence for auditability. Develop and maintain knowledge on the BCBS239 guidance. Contribute to content creation for relevant EDM forums. Business Glossary – Map CDE ownership across the firm and implement an enterprise-wide solution. Data Catalog – Work across the firm to build and implement an enterprise-wide solution to collect metadata, combined with data management and search tools. Data Protection: support the Data Office to establish a Data Protection Operating Model by: Developing strategy and procedures, workflows for responding to data subject requests (DSR); developing and delivering consumer privacy training; supporting the development and implementation of privacy governance frameworks with key stakeholders across the firm; serve as a liaison with data stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment.
