Purpose:

• To insure programmatic, operational, and fiscal integrity of the Adult Education Program.

Essential Functions:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate needs-based adult education curriculum and lesson plans.
• Ensure operational and fiscal compliance with Title 17, title 22, regional center quality assurance standards, and HCBS compliance.
• Ensure successful annual surveys and programmatic audits from all regulatory entities.
• Ensure compliance with RCEB’s quality assurance and program evaluation reviews, as well as in-person programmatic surveys.
• Ensure program maintains and complies with all Clausen House programmatic and CCL policies, procedures, and practices.
• Responsible for implementation of regulatory changes that are mandated by Clausen House,
• Department of Developmental Services, Community Care Licensing, RCEB, and other entities such as Alameda Public Health, Home and Community Based Services, Employment First, and other regulatory directives and/or mandates as needed Ensure program performance system is implemented and maintained for operational, quality and financial goals.
• Ensure AE program produces a timely and comprehensive art show fundraiser annually.
• Ensure compliance to program operational budget targets.
• Monitor and manage controllable expenses, such as overtime, telephone, and program supplies.
• Monitor the physical environment of assigned building about safety, maintenance, and sanitation, internally and externally.
• Ensure monthly disaster drills compliance. (earthquake, fire, shelter in place)
• Manage human resource functions for staff program staff and ensure staffing levels are compliant to regulatory standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Arts/Science in Special Education, Business, Psychology or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience working directly with developmentally disabled individuals, preferably adults.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ARF certification within the 1st year of employment.
• Knowledge of current practices and trends in the field of intellectual developmental disabilities.
• Demonstrated supervisory and administrative experience combined with knowledge of principles of staff development, and personnel management.
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s license (with safe driving record), with ability to drive clients to appointments, etc.
• Possession of sufficient physical stamina to assist clients with day programming.
• Able to communicate effectively in both writing and verbally.
• Ability to effectively and professionally facilitate group presentations.
• Criminal record clearance.
• Obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certificates
