Enter the prescription in the system, selecting the brand, product/drug, and appropriate strength to align with the instructions given by the prescribing ProviderFill or dispense the product from the pharmacy stock and deliver to the patientProcess prescription refills, verifying refill availabilityMaintain awareness of stock level and enter orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels. Verify quantity and submit order to the WholesalerVerify product orders received with the invoice and purchase order. Place a sticker on each item and place it on the shelfMonitor and check expiration dates on drugs in stock and prepare expired stock for return to the Wholesaler. Process credit invoices associated with the returnsReturn or discard dispensed prescriptions to stock if not picked up by the patient in 30 days. Enter information in the system for reverse billingComplete the third-party billing form and contact the Provider if prior authorization is requiredPerform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirementsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)One year's experience in a pharmacy setting is preferredPharmacy Technician license or may have an active Pharmacy Intern LicenseBilingual English/Spanish preferred at a level 9This position is eligible for Bilingual Differential Compensation when an ALTA score of 9 is achievedEffective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approachKnowledge of medical terminologyAbility to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copyingAbility to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detailBasic proficiency with a variety of computer systems, including Microsoft Office, is preferredBasic knowledge of a minimum of one pharmacy software system and the ability to learn new systemsThis job will require a pre-employment drug screen, which would take place after extending a conditional offer of employmentOur Mission Statement"Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well-being."Our mission celebrates inclusivity.
