Line of Business: Technology Solutions Job Description: The Java Technical Lead leads the creation of a comprehensive end-to-end detailed solution with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) and is largely focused on large-scale, complex or enterprise projects. May also be accountable for complex programming / coding. Depth & Scope: Provides technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity and works autonomously Expert knowledge of the business, the broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support and/or development of technical solutions and/or testing Works autonomously and leads on a diverse range of activities (e.g. design, support of technical business solutions) and is relied upon to coach / educate and monitor the work of others Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business and/or outside vendors Typically reports to a Senior IT Development Manager or higher Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate Graduate degree, preferred 7+ years related experience Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and application support with programming languages such as Java, J2EE. 5+ years of experience with Java development frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate. 3+ years experience with Event Streaming platform like Kafka. 2+ years of experience in front-end development with Angular and Bootstrap technologies, Node JS. 2+ years of experience writing SQL/Functions/Procedures in database systems such as MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle. 2+ years of direct Azure Cloud experience. 2+ years experience utilizing Kubernetes #LI-AMCBTech Physical Requirements: Never: 0%; Occasional: 1-33%; Frequent: 34-66%; Continuous: 67-100% Domestic Travel - Occasional International Travel - Never Performing sedentary work - Continuous Performing multiple tasks - Continuous Operating standard office equipment - Continuous Responding quickly to sounds - Occasional Sitting - Continuous Standing - Occasional Walking - Occasional Moving safely in confined spaces - Occasional Lifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.) - Occasional Lifting/Carrying (over 25 lbs.) - Never Squatting - Occasional Bending - Occasional Kneeling - Never Crawling - Never Climbing - Never Reaching overhead - Never Reaching forward - Occasional Pushing - Never Pulling - Never Twisting - Never Concentrating for long periods of time - Continuous Applying common sense to deal with problems involving standardized situations - Continuous Reading, writing and comprehending instructions - Continuous Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing - Continuous The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
