Travel between the two service areas and surrounding communities may be required
Home visits are an important part of the position

LOCATION REQUIREMENT

Candidates should reside within approximately 50 miles of Villa Rica, Georgia
Candidates must be comfortable traveling between Villa Rica, Marietta, and surrounding patient locations

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

Reliable personal vehicle required
Mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Candidates must be comfortable driving throughout the assigned service territory

Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT
Certified Respiratory Therapist, CRT
Registered Nurse, RN
Active applicable Georgia licensure required

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Active applicable RRT, CRT, or RN license required
Comfortable providing respiratory care independently in patient homes
Ability to conduct patient assessments and provide clinical education
Ability to support patients using ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other advanced respiratory equipment
Ability to adjust ventilator settings according to physician orders and patient needs
Strong patient and caregiver education skills
Ability to travel throughout Villa Rica, Marietta, and surrounding communities
Strong documentation and communication skills

RECRUITING NOTES

This is a permanent part time position
Schedule is approximately 2 to 3 days per week, or about 24 hours per week
Standard working window is 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
RRT, CRT, and RN candidates are eligible
Previous home healthcare or DME experience is helpful but not specifically required in the agency notes
Candidates should be comfortable with regular travel between Villa Rica and Marietta
Personal vehicle is required, with mileage reimbursement provided
On call support is only as needed rather than a defined rotation

OVERVIEW

Seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse for a permanent part-time home healthcare position serving Villa Rica, Marietta, and surrounding Georgia communities.

This role offers approximately 24 hours per week, typically spread across 2 to 3 weekdays, and provides the opportunity to deliver direct respiratory care outside of a traditional hospital setting.

Conduct in-home patient assessments and clinical evaluations
Provide patient and caregiver education on respiratory equipment and prescribed therapies
Support patients utilizing ventilators, oxygen therapy, PAP therapy, and other advanced respiratory equipment
Adjust ventilator settings according to physician orders and patient assessments
Monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe and effective operation
Provide ongoing follow up care and telephone support for respiratory patients
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient visits and services
Communicate patient needs and clinical findings to physicians and other members of the care team
Assist with urgent respiratory or equipment needs as required
Travel throughout Villa Rica, Marietta, and surrounding communities using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement
Support orientation and training of clinical staff when needed
Perform other duties consistent with applicable licensure and procedures

WHAT TO EXPECT

Permanent part time employment

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required
Active applicable RRT, CRT, or RN credentials required
Active Georgia licensure required
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Reliable personal vehicle required for field travel

Home healthcare experience
DME or HME experience
Hospital respiratory or pulmonary care experience
Degree in respiratory therapy, nursing, or related science
At least one year of relevant clinical experience
Experience with ventilators and advanced respiratory equipment
Familiarity with medical terminology
Experience providing patient and caregiver education

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
Regular driving throughout the assigned field territory
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen for extended periods
Regular contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
Close vision required for documentation, computer screens, tablets, and equipment
Must comply with Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy
Medical evaluation and fit testing required
Annual recertification required
Must meet OSHA requirements for proper N95 mask seal
