Our Bakery Managers are hands-on leaders who mix creativity with management know-how, ensuring every pastry and pie meets Uncle G’s gourmet standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee all aspects of daily bakery operations — from mixing batter to managing bakers.
- Keep the bakery fully stocked with the best quality ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and ready for action.
- Hire, train, and schedule your bakery team.
- Coach and inspire staff to produce high-quality baked goods with consistency and care.
- Follow merchandising plans to showcase bakery items beautifully and boost sales.
- Maintain top-tier presentation, uniformity, and freshness across all baked goods.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any issues with professionalism and warmth.
- Keep food safety and sanitation standards at the heart of every recipe and routine.
What You Bring to the Table
- High school diploma or GED (Baking/Pastry program a plus!)
- Proven experience managing a bakery in a fast-paced retail environment
- Solid knowledge of baking techniques for cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, and pastries
- Food handler’s license preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to perform under pressure
- Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and understanding)
