Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 2 years of CVOR experience and recent cardiac (open heart) case history at a Level 1 trauma facility.

Details

• Operating Room-CVOR unit at an academic medical institution/Level 1 trauma facility
• 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, 40 hours per week
• Variable scheduling with no guaranteed block scheduling
• Call required as needed, including weekends and holidays
• Covers CARDIAC, NEURO, ORTHO (trauma), and VASCULAR cases
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate
• Floating required
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
• TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years RN experience with prior travel experience required
• At least 2 years of CVOR RN experience required
• Recent cardiac (open heart) case experience required within work history
• At least 1 assignment within the last 12 months at an academic medical institution or Level 1 trauma facility in a major metropolitan area preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• No work history gaps over 30 days without documented explanation
• At least 1 professional reference dated within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility or qualify under the radius rate rule
• Flexibility with scheduling and assignments is essential
• Maximum of 8 RTO days permitted for the 13-week contract
• No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Must pass a basic specialty competency exam and EKG exam, including rhythm mapping and interpretation, with a minimum 80% score
• 100% accuracy required in identifying lethal rhythms as a mandatory pass criterion
• Reviewing cardiac rhythms prior to start is strongly recommended
• Unit Manager interview required as part of the hiring process
• Local candidates accepted
• Previous travel experience required
