Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH required; CPI, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department - EPIC experience required Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Department on a night shift schedule. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts per week. There are expectations for two weekend shifts or four weekend days every six weeks. Holidays may be required as needed, and there are no call responsibilities. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Mandatory certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIH. Preferred certifications are CPI, PALS, and TNCC. Experience as a Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience is preferred. Key skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients. Other essential skills involve starting and managing IVs, managing dysrhythmias, and triage experience. The facility sees a wide range of patient diagnoses, including stroke and cardiac cases. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. Travelers may be floated to other campuses as needed.
