Position Summary

Multifamily NW is seeking a strategic and creative Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our marketing, communications, and advocacy messaging. This role develops integrated marketing campaigns supporting membership growth, education, events, sponsorships, and government affairs while ensuring clear, consistent, and engaging communications across all channels.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do

Marketing & Brand

• Develop and execute annual marketing and communications plans.
• Maintain brand standards and messaging across all platforms.
• Ensure consistent voice and positioning.

Content & Communications

• Write and edit email campaigns, newsletters, website content, social media, print materials, and reports.
• Serve as lead editor for organizational communications.
• Support internal communications for staff, committees, and board leadership.

Advocacy Communications

• Draft legislative alerts, press releases, policy updates, and action alerts with the Government Affairs department.
• Prepare correspondence for elected officials and government agencies.
• Support messaging around legislative sessions, regulatory changes, and advocacy campaigns.

Events & Membership

• Plan marketing campaigns for conferences, education programs, networking events, and fundraisers.
• Promote membership recruitment and retention initiatives.
• Develop sponsor recognition materials and post-event content.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

• Manage website content, email marketing, and social media.
• Track campaign performance and recommend improvements using data and analytics.

Collaboration

• Partner with staff across advocacy, education, events, sponsorship, membership, and operations to deliver coordinated communications.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of marketing and communications experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with email marketing platforms, website content management, and social media.

Preferred

• Association, nonprofit, or advocacy experience.
• Government affairs or public policy communications.
• Experience using analytics to measure campaign performance.
