Mobile Phlebotomist- Overnights!

Mobile Phlebotomist Full‑time shift Monday‑Friday 10:00 PM‑6:30 AM with alternating weekends and holidays. Pay $18.00‑$21.50 based on experience, mileage reimbursement included. Role Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Mobile Phlebotomist provides clinical pre‑analytical laboratory services to clients/patients in a mobile setting. Responsibilities Drive the vehicle to client facilities (primarily nursing homes) as directed by dispatcher or supervisor. Unload phlebotomy tray and deliver it to patients’ bedside to collect specimens ordered by physicians. Accurately identify patients before collecting specimens. Collect, label, process, and deliver specimens obtained from patients. Reload all necessary equipment and specimens into vehicle for prompt delivery. Communicate regularly with dispatcher to report status and location; create all required records per instructions. Follow all specimen preservation, patient preparation, and specimen management procedures. Maintain required certifications, health and operational requirements. Keep work area clean. Follow all safety precautions at all times; report unsafe conditions, complaints, or problems. Monitor supplies inventory; report low stock or out‑of‑stock situations; identify and segregate expired supplies. Report to work promptly, properly groomed, and wear proper identification when visiting facilities. Maintain accurate time records of hours worked and deliver to company as directed. Manage shift to include meal breaks. Use approved current documents only; make changes to records only per approved instructions. Be available for on‑call evenings, weekends; irregular unscheduled overtime as needed. Qualifications Current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required). Current, valid State driver’s license, car insurance, good driving record; possess a vehicle in good working condition suitable for daily driving. Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques. Knowledge of laboratory operations. Maintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination. Excellent communication and interaction skills with pediatric and geriatric communities. Respectful treatment of customers and patients; acknowledges residents’ and patients’ rights to refuse. Demonstrate regular attendance. Physical Demands Frequent walking, standing, handling, talking, hearing; occasional sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. May lift or move up to 35 pounds on occasion. Requires close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Standard medical laboratory environment with potential health hazards. Staff expected to safely operate in accordance with applicable health and safety policies and use personal protective equipment. Associates work in all weather and driving conditions.
