FPRS CARE Leader, Inforce Operations (Hybrid)

You will be accountable for one of our CARE Teams, ensuring that the team delivers genuine care to our consumers, actively engages with them, and creates meaningful experiences. Responsibilities As a CARE Team Leader you will: Ensure the team consistently demonstrates the CARE values—Communicate, Advocate, Respond, and Empower—in every consumer interaction. Motivate and empower team members to take ownership, providing guidance, feedback, and development opportunities. Analyze operational and consumer‑service metrics, identify patterns, and propose practical solutions to improve quality and efficiency. Collaborate with IM Operations leadership and cross‑functional partners across Guardian to enhance the consumer experience. Mitigate operational and fraud risk, ensuring adherence to key controls under the Model Audit Rule. Manage consumer and field escalations, using data and logic to solve problems quickly. Deliver status updates and executive‑level summaries to leadership on team performance and initiatives. Qualifications Required qualifications: Leadership experience in a consumer‑centric environment, preferably in insurance operations. Demonstrated ability to drive positive change, collaborate across levels, and influence outcomes. Strong communication skills, capable of presenting ideas and results to executive leadership. Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience; a BA/BS and/or leadership program participation preferred. Experience managing multiple lines of business and understanding key controls is highly desirable. Reporting & Location You will report to a CARE Manager, who reports to the Head of Life/Disability Inforce Operations. The primary location is Bethlehem, PA, with consideration for candidates from our Pittsfield, MA office. The hybrid model requires three days in‑office per week, with up to two days remote. Travel of 10% of the time is required. Compensation Salary range: $68,970.00 – $113,310.00 (base pay, subject to education, experience, and qualifications).
