Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. You will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols and timely reporting of security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established school and district protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, bus loops, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas; report unusual conditions, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining professional communication with school administration, staff, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
