Interventional Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

AdventHealth Medical Group Spine Health at Altamonte Springs is looking for a dynamic and team-oriented Interventional Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to join our established destination program. This position is for an experienced PM&R physician, fellowship trained in pain management to help grow the practice in new markets around the Orlando area. This opportunity is focused on growing two satellite offices, one in Apopka and one in Oviedo, all within a 15-30 minute drive from our main office located in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

With the leadership of the medical director, Dr. Chetan K. Patel, this physician will have the opportunity to provide the best care and treatment options for patients with neck and back pain. We have full multidisciplinary services at AHMG Spine Health that include rehab and sports medicine, wellness, pain psychology, pain medicine, procedures, and outcomes based research. The position would be based in an outpatient setting for patient consultations and injections, in addition to performing procedures at a nearby ASC. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Physicians with an academic interest would find this position appealing as the medical director is actively engaged in multiple FDA clinical trials and continues to serve as a faculty member for multiple spine societies. He is the Robotics and Navigation Section chairman for the North American Society. At AHMG Spine Health at Altamonte Springs, he has helped establish a comprehensive research database on operative and non-operative treatment of spine patients with the goal of reporting outcomes based on evidence based spinal treatment and refining clinical algorithms. The new physician would have the opportunity to teach, participate in our research database and author publications.

Requirements of the position include:

• ACGME fellowship training in Pain Medicine.
• Active Board Certification/Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation along with board certification in Pain Medicine.
