Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Monterey, CA • May 29, 2026 • $146K - $195K Position Summary: Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care according to the hospital policies and procedures. The role emphasizes quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, public/customer relations, and broad nursing knowledge. The RN will orient new staff, precept students, and assume relief charge nurse duty as oriented and assigned. The RN delivers direct nursing care to all patient populations during hours on duty. Endoscopy RN responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, assisting in and circulating endoscopy procedures, reprocessing GI scopes, and recovering post‑procedure patients. The RN must be able to take call and report to the hospital within 45 minutes. Experience: At least three years of medical‑surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital or multi‑specialty outpatient surgery center. Preferred experience in endoscopy and telemetry. Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Licensure & Certifications: California RN license required. American Heart Association BLS required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained before completion of orientation and independent assignment. Specialty certification required within two years of start date. Assigned Work Hours: 0.9 FTE, primarily days but variable days – 10‑hour shifts. Rotating call night and weekend. Pay Range: $72.83 to $97.40. Shift differentials: Evening $5.50, Night $8.00.
