We serve more than 22,000 students in more than 30 schools and span six municipalities, covering more than 220 square miles.We are seeking a collaborative, innovative, and student-centered leader who is passionate about designing and implementing high-quality out-of-school-time learning experiences that improve student achievement. The ideal candidate is an instructional leader with expertise in curriculum design, professional development, and program implementation who will lead the planning, coordination, and continuous improvement of the district's Texas ACE Summer Learning Program. This individual will develop rigorous, school-day aligned summer curriculum; support the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), family engagement, and enrichment programming; provide coaching and technical assistance to campus staff; and use data to drive continuous improvement. The successful candidate builds strong partnerships with district and campus leaders, families, and community organizations to ensure high-quality programming that supports student success and complies with all Texas ACE and 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant requirements.You will be joining a district that is building on a legacy of achievement while rapidly improving and creating systems to reach new heights for student outcomes. We are also a district focused on continuous improvement and rigorous analysis of where we need to grow and learn.Education/Certification:Master's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university required; Major in Curriculum & Instruction preferredValid Texas Teaching Certificate requiredTexas Principal Certification preferredExperience:Minimum five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience requiredExperience with state/federal grant compliance and reporting requiredExperience working with at-risk students and diverse families requiredExperience leading, coaching, or supporting staff; coordinating programs; and managing community partnerships preferred.Special Knowledge and SkillsExperience designing, implementing, and evaluating high-quality summer learning, extended learning, and after-school programs.Understanding of student development, including social-emotional and behavioral needs.Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to use academic, attendance, participation, and program data to drive continuous improvement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and TX21st or similar data management systems.Experience supporting diverse student populations, including students with special needs.Ability to build collaborative relationships with district and campus leadership, students, staff, families, community organizations, and external partners through exceptional interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and written/oral communication skills.Strong leadership, organizational, project management, coaching, and problem-solving skills.Flexible schedule to support evening, weekend, and summer programming.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Experience with Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) preferred.Major Responsibilities and DutiesExecutive LeadershipParticipate in professional development, state training, and technical assistance to strengthen knowledge and skills related to Texas ACE, instructional leadership, and grant implementation.Foster collaboration and maintain effective two-way communication with Texas ACE staff, campus and district leadership, families, community partners, and other stakeholders.Demonstrate transformational leadership and professional, ethical, and responsible behavior while promoting high-quality out-of-school-time programming that supports student achievement and continuous improvement.Support the Project Director and Executive Director of Student, Family, and Community Services in developing, implementing, and monitoring district goals, performance measures, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Texas ACE grant objectives and campus improvement goals.Provide leadership, coaching, and technical assistance to Texas ACE Site Coordinators and program staff to promote consistent implementation, accountability, and continuous program improvement.System Leadership:Lead the districtwide implementation and continuous improvement of Texas ACE academic, enrichment, family engagement, community engagement, and summer learning initiatives.Design, develop, coordinate, and evaluate the Texas ACE Summer Learning Program, including high-quality curriculum, instructional resources, and programming aligned with district priorities and grant requirements.Support the implementation of High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), and other evidence-based instructional practices across all Texas ACE campuses.Collaborate with district and campus leadership to align out-of-school-time programming with school-day instruction, district initiatives, student needs, and campus improvement goals.Develop districtwide systems, resources, and implementation guides that promote consistent, high-quality programming across all Texas ACE sites.Monitor and evaluate program implementation and effectiveness through observations and analysis of academic, attendance, participation, family engagement, and other program data to identify trends and implement data-informed continuous improvement strategies.Ensure compliance with Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Cycle 13 grant requirements and support district readiness for monitoring, audits, and continuous quality improvement.Participate in Texas ACE 5 to Drive, Coaching to Quality, and other state technical assistance initiatives to strengthen program quality and sustainability.Professional Learning Community (PLC's)Partner with Site Coordinators, teachers, and instructional staff to align out-of-school-time programming, High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), and summer learning curriculum with school-day instruction and campus priorities.Facilitate collaboration among Texas ACE campuses by sharing best practices, instructional resources, and evidence-based strategies that improve program quality and student outcomes.Collaborate with district and campus leadership to evaluate program outcomes, identify instructional needs, and implement strategies that strengthen academic achievement.Effective FeedbackProvide coaching, technical assistance, and professional support to Texas ACE Site Coordinators and program staff to strengthen instructional practices, program implementation, and student outcomes.Conduct regular program observations across Texas ACE campuses and provide timely, actionable feedback to promote continuous improvement and consistent implementation of grant requirements.Monitor the quality and fidelity of academic, enrichment, family engagement, and summer learning programming to ensure alignment with district priorities, High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), High-Impact Tutoring (HIT), and Texas ACE program requirements.Provide constructive feedback and targeted support to improve instructional quality, curriculum implementation, and the effectiveness of out-of-school-time programming across all Texas ACE campuses.Collaborate regularly with the Project Director, district leadership, Site Coordinators, and campus instructional leadership to evaluate program implementation, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies that support continuous improvement and student achievement.Culture & ClimateCreate, cultivate, and promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared accountability across all Texas ACE campuses.Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment that supports academic achievement, student engagement, and overall program quality.Build and sustain meaningful relationships with district and campus leadership, Site Coordinators, students, families, community organizations, and other stakeholders.Identify, analyze, and apply current research and best practices to strengthen Texas ACE programming and improve student outcomes.Promote high-quality academic, enrichment, family engagement, and summer learning experiences that support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and leadership development.
