Foundation Medical Partners, our multi-specialty group, spans 70+ practices across southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts, providing coordinated, patient-centered care to thousands each year.The Manager, Patient Registration is responsible for leading and supporting Patient Registration operations while ensuring an exceptional experience for patients accessing Southern New Hampshire Health services. This role oversees staffing, training, performance management, registration quality, regulatory compliance, and revenue cycle processes to ensure accurate patient information collection, efficient patient care, and appropriate reimbursement. The position also collaborates closely with clinical and revenue cycle leadership to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.What You’ll Do:Lead, mentor, and support Patient Registration staff to deliver outstanding customer service and operational performance.Schedule staff across all shifts, adjusting staffing levels as needed to meet patient volume demands.Provide registration support across hospital departments, including evening and night operations.Ensure team members receive appropriate training, education, and tools necessary for success.Collaborate with clinical leadership and operational partners to support patient care and organizational goals.Monitor registration quality, collections performance, and productivity metrics while providing regular staff feedback.Troubleshoot workflow, process, and system issues and implement corrective action plans when necessary.Support staff cross-training initiatives across outpatient, emergency, and disaster response workflows.Assist with patient registration activities during peak volume periods.Conduct staff meetings, maintain attendance records, and communicate regulatory and compliance updates.Address employee performance matters, conduct evaluations, and support recognition and corrective action processes.Maintain accurate registration documentation and ensure required forms are current and complete.Partner with revenue cycle teams to improve registration accuracy and financial clearance processes.Assist in the development, implementation, and revision of registration policies and procedures.Oversee contracted vendor activities related to eligibility, enrollment, and patient collections.Ensure staff obtain required consents and collect appropriate patient payments at the time of service.Audit collection activities to ensure adherence to cash control standards.Participate in budget planning and financial management activities.Maintain compliance with EMTALA, CMS, HIPAA, DNV, and payer requirements.Perform additional duties as assigned.Who You Are / Requirements:EducationBachelor’s degree required.In lieu of the required degree, an additional four (4) years of directly related experience may be substituted.Equivalent experience should total approximately 9-11 years in hospital registration, revenue cycle, or physician office operations.ExperienceMinimum of 5-7 years of experience in hospital registration, revenue cycle, or physician office operations required.Prior management or leadership experience preferred.EPIC experience in Patient Access Operations preferred.Licensure / CertificationEPIC certification required within six (6) months of hire.National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification or Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) certification preferred.Knowledge & SkillsWorking knowledge of front-end registration best practices, payer regulations, and governmental payer requirements.Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively manage and develop staff.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to establish collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.Why You’ll Love Us:Southern NH Medical Center is a 5-time Magnet designated hospitalHealth, dental, prescription, and vision coverage for full-time & part-time employeesMedical, dental, and vision coverageLife insuranceShort- and long-term disabilityFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Competitive payTuition ReimbursementNursing Student Loan Paydown Program403(b) Retirement Savings PlanEducation & Paid training courses for continued career progressionAnd so much more!
