Material Handler Plastics / Production

Location: Twinsburg, OH Shift: 7:00AM3:30PM Schedule: MondayFriday Overtime: Available

Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support day-to-day production operations. This position focuses on preparing materials, assisting with grinding processes, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and ensuring the production area stays organized. Individuals with mechanical aptitude or warehouse experience are encouraged to apply. Training will provide exposure to various production tasks to build a strong understanding of workflow and safety practices. Success in this role depends heavily on work ethic, teamwork, integrity, honesty, and reliable attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and organize plastic materials for processing
• Prepare, label, and weigh inventory as needed
• Follow material grinding schedule and prioritize tasks
• Load materials into grinding equipment and ensure proper processing
• Disassemble and clean grinding machinery for maintenance and changeovers
• Stage materials and supplies for upcoming production jobs
• Assist in additional production floor tasks during cross-training
• Adhere to written safety guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Carry out additional tasks assigned by supervisors

Preferred Experience (Not Required): Background in plastics, extrusion, or material processing

Required Skills:

• Valid driver's license
• Prior warehouse or manufacturing environment experience
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Basic computer familiarity
• Previous forklift or tow-motor use
• Strong ability to learn and retain new information
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment
• Solid basic math skills
• Clear verbal communication with team members
• Competence in using common hand tools (saws, hammers, nail guns, etc.)
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities
• Team-oriented with reliable attendance

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Regular standing, walking, and material handling throughout shift
• Ability to remain focused and safety-conscious

Education: High school diploma or GED required
