University of Nebraska Omaha is hiring an Advisor I. The Advisor I provides guidance to UNO students to help them achieve meaningful educational experiences and develop personal and professional goals, while also supporting the department and peer advisors with project responsibilities. Highlights Manage assigned student caseload, advising from admission through graduation. Provide course recommendations and develop academic plans aligned with student goals. Evaluate transfer and academic credits to minimize time and cost toward degree completion. Monitor student reenrollment and progress, fostering persistence and academic success. Support students facing academic difficulties and provide appropriate referrals. Orient and onboard newly admitted students, introducing institutional processes and technologies. Participate in recruiting activities by advising prospective students and promoting UNO's educational offerings. Engage in strategic planning and continuous improvement of advising services. Participate in university committees and professional associations, including NACADA.
