How you make a difference

The Physician is responsible for assessing and treating patients' physical health including conducting exams and coordinating outside referrals. This position performs minor procedures and collaborates with psychiatric and interdisciplinary staff to ensure integrated care. Physicians also educate patients, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and tailor treatment plans to the patient's age and development. Travel may be required depending on facility needs, and work is in correctional clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical health through examinations and diagnostic procedures
• Provide and oversee documentation, outside referrals, consultations, and follow-ups
• Perform minor medical procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff and provide education to patients and families

Additional Details

-Candidate must be licensed in the state of KY.
-This position offers a $20,000 bonus for full-time employment.


Qualifications & Requirements

EDUCATION

• Medical doctorate (MD) or doctor of osteopathy (DO) from an accredited university

EXPERIENCE

• Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an outpatient/inpatient setting
• Psychiatric experience preferred

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Licensed in the state of employment
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications
• Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine
