Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Orthopedics unit requiring EPIC EMR experience and an active TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Orthopedics unit with focus on total joint replacement and ortho trauma care
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Medication administered via Omnicell system
• Floating required to like units based on skill set, including MS/Tele competency
• Every other weekend coverage required, subject to change based on need

Requirements

• Active TN RN license or multistate compact license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Orthopedics required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• MS/Tele competency required in case of floating
• Completion of EKG exam required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line and peripheral line care, and PICC line management required
• Experience with GI care including bowel obstruction and feeding tube management preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedics unit, including total joint replacement and ortho trauma cases
• Floating to other qualified units or campuses may be required due to census needs
• Orientation occurs every Monday along with annual compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Does not accept first-time travelers
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any facility in the health system to be eligible, with reduced eligibility between 90-99.9 miles
