Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Beacon Behavioral Partners is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) to fill a Full Time opening that will be supporting Novus Neurology and Psychiatry. The hours are standard work hours, with no calls required on weekends or evenings.

At Beacon Behavioral Partners, Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) receive competitive salaries.Total compensation ranges between $100,000 - $135,000 (depending on experience), including: sign-on bonus, and opportunities for paid training/advancement if desired. Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)

• Perform complete initial psychiatric assessments/evaluations and determine diagnosis and treatment plan.
• Provide follow up care and consultations to patients.
• Prescribe medications and collaborates with the supervising psychiatrist in case management
• Utilize specific electronic medical record system and other digital tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in patient record documentation and management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements for this position:

• 1 year Experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Additional experience in a private practice facility is desirable
• An unconditional license (also known as a license without restriction) to practice medicine in Alabama
• Registration with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to prescribe controlled substances without sanction, restriction or limitation.
• Current CPR certification is required
