Location: Brick, NJ

Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site | 5 days per week

Salary Range: $150,000–$170,000 annually

Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Employee Relations to join our Human Resources leadership team. This newly created role will serve as a trusted advisor to HR and operational leaders across our multi-state senior living portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished employee relations professional who enjoys navigating complex workplace matters, developing proactive solutions, and helping leaders build the skills and confidence to effectively manage employee relations issues. The Director will play an important role in educating and supporting managers on effective people-management practices while promoting consistent, fair, and well-informed employment decisions.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a trusted advisor on complex and sensitive employee relations matters.
• Lead and provide guidance on workplace investigations and employee concerns.
• Partner with Regional HR Directors and operational leaders on complex disciplinary and employment decisions.
• Provide expertise on employment practices, policies, and applicable employment laws.
• Develop and deliver proactive education, tools, and resources to strengthen managers' employee relations and people-management skills.
• Coach and support managers in areas such as performance management, documentation, difficult conversations, corrective action, and effective employee communication.
• Identify employee relations trends and use those insights to develop targeted education, training, and preventative strategies.
• Promote consistent and effective employee relations practices across our multi-state senior living portfolio.

What We're Looking For

• Significant progressive HR experience with deep expertise in employee relations and workplace investigations.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, educate, and advise managers on employee relations and effective people-management practices.
• Experience supporting a multi-state organization preferred.
• Employee relations experience in healthcare strongly preferred.
• Exceptional judgment, discretion, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to advise and influence HR, operational, and senior leaders.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000–$170,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
