Overview Registered Nurse - Acute Rehab Department - 36 hours weekly - Night shift Sign On Bonus $10,000 Full Time Benefit Eligible Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Rotating every other weekend Unit Description Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Inpatient Rehab department is a 36-bed unit specializing in the rehabilitation of trauma and stroke patients with varying degrees of medical complexities. Our nurses have an average patient ratio of 5:1, and the support of a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, and Rehab Techs. We have the great privilege of caring for patients throughout their stay (typically 5-10 days) and witnessing varying degrees of remarkable healing as a result of our work. Come join our team! Responsibilities Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Certifications/Licensures Required Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Preferred Experience One year or more of prior nursing experience preferred.
