Are you ready for new challenges?Applications Engineer will perform essential functions for the Sales, Applications areas in the form of product demonstrations, time studies, and post sales customer applications support. Besides the functional responsibility of applications for customer demos, will also work with customers after installation with startup and production support.Duties & ResponsibilitiesConduct best in class customer product and production flow demonstrations and attend trade shows to increase product sales with a focus on automated bending machinesProvide customer application & sales support utilizing TRUMPF digital solutions both virtually and on-sitePerform feasibility analyses, time studies, and produce sample parts for customer evaluation.Continuously excel the technology knowledge by participating in training and testing functions of the machineSupport machine startups and provide hands-on production assistance post-installation.Be responsible for the assigned technology in the production showroom environmentOrganize and provide customer product training courses with a focus on programming and operating equipmentConsult and demonstrate latest machine technology related solutions for Industry 4.0. Utilization of all hardware / software / services that pertain to the technology to become a resident expert / go to person for the technologyCollaborate with product centers and other TRUMPF subsidiaries to provide feedback on product development / improvement ideas for existing or new products in the field of bending technologyAssist with new machine introductions through testing and early customer support.Travel estimate is 30% as average, with focus in USA, Mexico and CanadaExperienceMultiple years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, with strong knowledge of robotic bending and automated production.Experience in programming and operating industrial robots (FANUC preferred) is a plus.Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, bending machine programming, and general machine tool operation.Understanding of manufacturing technologies and production software systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-facing experience required.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly; willingness to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.TRUMPF Inc. endeavors to make TRUMPF careers pages accessible to any and all users.
