New Grad RN Residency Operating Room

RN Residency - Operating Room Candidate must be a June 2026 or prior graduate with less than 6 months of RN experience. Program Overview The HCA Healthcare Residency Program is a year-long program designed to give recent nursing graduates hands‑on experience and help establish valuable clinical and critical‑thinking skills. Residents work with nurse educators, experienced nurses, and peer residents in a supportive learning environment. Program Structure Advanced clinical training in a specialty area Monthly educational sessions Preceptorship training with a facility preceptor Hands‑on simulations with measurement and evaluation of skills Mentoring from experienced nurse leaders Evidence‑based practice project Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; identify and report any changes. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by provider(s); document care promptly. Administer prescribed medications; monitor therapeutic response; intervene when necessary. Respond promptly to patient requests; anticipate needs and resolve proactively. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up; translate complex terminology.
