Safety Coordinator

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to support an active construction project at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO . This is a full-time, temporary position (1-year project) working day shift, Monday through Friday , offering $25.00–$35.00 per hour (DOE) . The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing health and safety protocols , ensuring compliance with safety standards , monitoring safe loading and unloading procedures , tracking certifications and documentation , and working directly with field crews to maintain a safe and organized jobsite . Responsibilities Monitor and enforce health and safety protocols across the construction site Ensure safe loading, unloading, and material handling procedures are followed Track and maintain safety certifications, documentation, and compliance records Work directly with field crews and supervisors to promote safe work practices Identify and resolve safety hazards and violations to maintain site compliance Requirements 1–3 years of experience in construction safety coordination or project safety Strong organizational and communication skills in a construction environment Ability to interpret installation schedules, safety manuals, and compliance documentation Experience supporting industrial construction, fabrication, or modular installation safety Proficiency in Microsoft Office for safety reporting and documentation Drug Screen and Background Check required Additional Perk: Access to our Employee Discount Program – Save on hotels, restaurants, theme parks, movie tickets, and more.
