Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical history reviews
• Assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
• Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide in-the-moment OR support, which includes preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focused on surgery is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification are mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
