School Occupational Therapist - Pittsburg, California

An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services for the 2026-2027 full school year. This contract position, located in Pittsburg, CA, offers 35 hours per week supporting student development and participation in educational settings.


Responsibilities include:

• Conducting evaluations to assess students' occupational therapy needs within the school environment
• Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
• Documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and reports in compliance with regulations
• Participating in meetings related to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Providing direct therapy services that enhance students' functional skills for academic success

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy licensure
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in schools
• Knowledge of educational and therapeutic techniques relevant to pediatrics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork in multidisciplinary settings
• Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and maintain detailed records
