Examples include, but are not limited to: Chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, air handlers, fans, variable frequency drives, air distribution systems including air balance and air exchanges for critical areas or isolation, refrigeration equipment, ice makers, medical gas systems, and building automation systems (BAS). The HVAC Mechanic performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, codes, building standards, and hospital policies. The HVAC Mechanic participates with the facility service team to operate, maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems, equipment, and apparatus to provide a comfortable and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.QualificationsTwo (2) years of experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.Two (2) years of HVAC or refrigeration maintenance, repair or construction field preferred.Two (2) years of HVAC construction preferred.Two (2) years of hospital maintenance or construction preferred.Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blueprints.Valid state driver's license.Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc.)High School Diploma or equivalent requiredPay TransparencyOlympia Fields Hospital offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $19.00 to $28.00.
