Shift Options Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 36 hrs/week | Every other weekend Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 36 hrs/week | Every other weekend Compensation Travel Pay: $2,561/week (Blended rate: $71.14/hr) Local Pay: $65/hr Role Summary The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing patient health through the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered emergency care. The RN practices in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Emergency Nursing Association standards, and organizational policies. This role supports a caring and healing environment for patients and families. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency department patients Serve as primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety considerations Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management Safely administer medications using established pharmacological knowledge and hospital policies Utilize resources effectively, including staffing, time management, and supplies Ensure compliance with all nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies Actively participate in Nursing Shared Governance, unit councils, and quality improvement initiatives Engage in ongoing professional development and required continuing education Integrate evidence-based practice and nursing research into patient care Support onboarding and education of new staff and nursing students Perform Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator duties when assigned Assume additional responsibilities as needed Strong collaboration and communication (verbal & written) Clinical judgment and critical thinking Organization, planning, and time management Problem-solving and decision-making Commitment to quality, safety, and risk management Reliability and accountability Experience Requirements Required: Minimum 3 years of current Emergency Department experience Experience with Trauma, STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, and Pediatric care Preferred: Prior acute care or ambulatory clinical nursing experience Education Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Certifications & Licensure Active New York State RN License BLS (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) ACLS Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors. #J-18808-Ljbffr Pride Health
