Continuous Improvement Consultant

Hybrid Role This role is based in Brooklyn, OH, and requires three days per week on site. Job Summary Supports process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within a functional area. Contributes to the effort to foster a culture of sustainable change within the area through embedding continuous improvement methodologies and the supporting framework to deliver business transformation. Uses a combination of tools to drive outcomes, including Kaizen, process redesign/improvement that could be related to system conversions, complex/structured problem solving. Networks with other continuous improvement professionals within the organization to develop best practices. Responsibilities Leads continuous improvement projects in a functional area, which enable the attainment of key strategic objectives to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase productivity. Leads the development of process metrics and continuous improvement strategy and methodology. Works closely with business managers to develop and implement process metrics. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement within business area and builds stakeholder network to accomplish their implementation. Mentors colleagues in the usage of Continuous Improvement framework and tools. Supports the delivery of accredited continuous improvement training to colleagues from other business areas. Completes post‑implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to ensure that improvements can be made for future projects. Participates in special projects as requested by management. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, analytics, operations management, or related field. 7 years of proven continuous improvement experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis. 3‑5 years of experience in the health insurance field preferred. Professional Certification(s) Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred. Technical Skills and Knowledge Expertise in business process management software skills Expert knowledge of Six Sigma tools Intermediate MS Office skills Benefits A Great Place to Work We will provide the equipment you need for this role, including a laptop, monitors, keyboard, mouse and headset.
