Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Deputy Project Manager to join our Offshore Projects & Engineering Team . The Deputy Project Manager will support the Project Manager in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to deadlines and within budget. This role requires Offshore Project Management/Engineering experience as well as strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to effectively coordinate project activities and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination

• Assist the Project Manager in developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
• Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.

Budget and Resource Management

• Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
• Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure project expenses are tracked and reported accurately.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

• Support the Project Manager in leading project teams, providing guidance and motivation.
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Communicate project expectations and updates to team members and stakeholders.

Risk Management and Problem Solving

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Resolve any project-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Ensure contingency plans are in place for critical project elements.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Conduct regular project reviews to ensure adherence to project plans and objectives.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting

• Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or a related role.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
