RN Registered Nurse

Role: A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) responsible for overseeing patient care within a designated area. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement and evaluate nursing interventions, and coordinate resource utilization. Lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with regulations. Facilitate communication among interdisciplinary teams, manage patient and family interactions, and participate in problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure proper documentation, oversee discharge planning, and respond effectively to emergencies. Maintain infection control standards and ensure adequate staffing and supplies. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current license to practice. Preferred bachelor's or master's degree. Certifications include CPR. Demonstrates leadership, delegation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage staff, handle emergencies, and work within budget constraints. Additional Duties: Participate in weekend coverage, on-call rotations, staff evaluations, and ongoing staff education. Ensure quality patient care, safety, and staff competency. #J-18808-Ljbffr
