IT - Network Technician - Advanced

Network Operations SpecialistMonitors dep network, server, and application elements, resolves incidents and service requests and/or consults with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve the network control center.Control network and system processing. Responds to customer inquiries and alters via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. Conducts routine inspections on equipment and reports any abnormalities. Other operational duties as assigned, such as meetings, project work, administration and facilities requirements.Configure network and system resources and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides Tier II support as per SME agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches.Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and the knowledge base. Participates in training and cross-training for the Tier II.
