Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg - Oncology night shift position in Hickory, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Inpatient oncology unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 17-18 bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, CVA, and cancer
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to all areas of the facility
• Charting performed in Cerner (experience required)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in NC or a compact state currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required
• AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; all AHA certs must be current)
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Any color scrubs are acceptable
• The facility is a 355-bed Duke LifePoint hospital with a broad range of specialty services including a Cancer Center, Brain Center, Heart Center, and Level 3 NICU
