Sr. Business Systems Analyst with Healthcare Claims and Cloud Migration projects.Must have Data mapping .


Need years of experience for the following when you submit:

    • Healthcare claims and claims-based platforms
    • Previous cloud migration project experience
    • Understanding data mapping
    • Working with external vendors
  • Looking for a senior BSA contractor to initially support the project outlined below. The need for them is likely to continue, supporting different projects, into next year.
  • True Business/ Systems role. Will be responsible for gathering business requirements, turning them into technical specifications, working with testers, working with vendors, and collaborating with internal teams.
  • In addition to experience with business requirements and technical specs (required), the ideal candidate would have experience with: (Please Rate Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced and amount of years of experience for each)
    • Healthcare claims and claims-based platforms
    • Previous cloud migration project experience
    • Understanding data mapping
    • Working with external vendors
  • Fully remote is fine
  • Needs someone senior enough to be able to jump in, be independent, and run with things. There is high level visibility on this project. Someone who will take initiative and raise a flag when they need help.

From Dept on project: This position will assist the Payment Integrity, Pricing, and Policy value stream with executing a critical initiative for BCBSMA's affordability goals. The work effort is focused on the migration of ClaimsXten from a hosted NASCO environment to a cloud infrastructure. The translation of data mappings and requirements to business functionality is critical to maintaining the >$300M in savings this tool provides, and limiting any impact or loss as BCBSMA tries to expand affordability. Specifically, this role will be responsible for the requirements, test criteria and mappings development and maintenance.


General Responsibilities of a BSA: Analyzes current systems/requirements and develops strategies for systems development. Works closely with the project manager to define projects, effort and staff requirements. Works closely with business partners to define business requirements and writes functional specifications to be leveraged by developers to build technical specifications. Healthcare or Insurance experience key and need to be familiar with business problem area. The analyst will also be responsible for working closely with Developer, QA and the business to develop testing plans and test cases. They are also involved in the development of both workflow and systems procedures to be handed off to the operations staff. The analyst must have strong project and time management skills as well as experience with operations/production support.
General Responsibilities of a Sr BSA: All of the skills outlined above for the Business Systems Analyst including; Deep expertise in healthcare and specialized knowledge in key areas such as Claims, Eligibility / Benefits, Membership, Providers, and Health Management. In addition to analyzing existing systems and requirements able to work closely with business resources to identify solution options, clearly articulate pros and cons of options and develops recommendations for solution designs. Deep knowledge of business workflow processes and able to model process changes. Deep knowledge of application data and be able to guide data design options.
