Ar / medical billing specialist

We are seeking an detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Medical Billing Specialist for an immediate, temporary opening covering an FMLA leave for our healthcare client in Bristol CT. This is an incredible foot-in-the-door opportunity with a highly regarded healthcare leader. For the right candidate, this position has a strong potential to transition into a permanent role.

You will work under the guidance of a highly supportive, hands-on A/R Leader who is dedicated to team success and seamless onboarding. Motivated client - Start as soon as this week!

salary: $21 - $22 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Research and Electronically submits clean claims to all commercial payors through clearinghouse,

Processe paper claims that cannot be handled electronically on a weekly basis.

Receives and posts checks from commercial payors.

Research and applies payments to client accounts.

Ensures cash payments are correctly posted in NextGen and transferred to accounting for deposit.
