Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Surgical Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Trauma, Neuro, and Ortho experience required License: Must hold a current certification Certifications: NBSTSA or NCCT certification, BLS certification required Must-Have: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Description: This position offers a 12-hour shift from 06:45 to 19:15. Call requirements include two to three 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays every six weeks. The shifts may run from 07:00 to 19:00 or from 19:00 to 07:00. There is a need to cover call on holidays if they fall on a weekday. An asterisk call shift is required once per week. There is an expectation to potentially stay up to 2 hours past normal shift hours to cover cases that extend beyond 17:00. If the shift ends at 06:45, you may be asked to stay until 19:15. If working a 12-hour shift, the expectation is to stay until 21:15 for cases that require additional time. These additional hours are compensated as on-call time.
