The candidate will be responsible for supporting all service lines, except cardiovascular. Experience with laparoscopic assisted cases is mandatory. Candidates should have skills in performing specific surgeries such as appendectomies, cholecystectomies, colon resections, and hernia repairs. Knowledge of neurology procedures like cervical fusions, craniotomies, and lumbar fusions is essential. Orthopedic skills should include arthroscopy and fracture management. Experience in plastic surgery, specifically free flap microvascular techniques, is needed. Knowledge of transplant skills, particularly organ donation, is required. Experience with urology cases, including cystoscopies and nephrectomies, is essential. Competence in trauma case management is mandatory, including amputations and managing gunshot/stab wounds. Emergency management skills such as code response and fire safety are required. Familiarity with equipment like electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources is necessary. Candidates should have a solid understanding of infection control and safety protocols. The work environment involves collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. The facility is a Magnet and teaching acute care hospital designated as a Level I trauma center. Healthcare providers will utilize Cerner for charting and documentation. A commitment to ongoing education and professional development is expected. Travelers may be required to float within their scope of skills to meet facility needs. All requested time off must be approved by management.
