School Nurse (RN)

Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurseto provide on-site nursing services for a School in Sarasota County, Florida.


The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements:
•Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program
•Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
•Current CPR/BLS certification
•Minimum one (1) year of experience working with students with multiple disabilities.
•Minimum one (1) year of experience participating in IEP meetings.
•Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in a school, pediatric, or community health setting
•Experience caring for children with chronic health conditions and disabilities preferred

Responsibilities:
•Provide direct nursing care to students with acute and chronic health needs
•Administer medications and treatments as ordered
•Assess student health concerns and respond to medical emergencies
•Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)
•Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
•Maintain accurate health records and required documentation
•Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings as needed
•Educate staff regarding student health needs and emergency procedures
•Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal health regulations
•Any other duties as assigned
