Famous Toastery is looking for team members who excel at working together to deliver exceptional customer service and make us Famous. As a server, you’ll provide top-notch table service to our patrons, ensuring they have a delightful dining experience. Our unique service model means that every server is your server, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Duties/Responsibilities

 

• Greet customers as they are seated, ensuring the table is clean and set with utensils, napkins, and other essentials.
• Distribute menus and present daily specials.
• Answer questions regarding the menu.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver them to the kitchen.
• Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen.
• Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals.
• Prepare customers’ checks and collect payments.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
  
   
  
   
  

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Well-organized with the ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
  
   
  
   
  

Education And Experience

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Previous experience as a server preferred.
• Must successfully complete the restaurant’s training course.
  
   
  
   
  

Physical Requirements

 

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
