Surgical Technologist

Facilitate the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments; supplies; and equipment and maintains the sterile field while anticipating and responding to the needs of the surgical team.

CSTs have a professional obligation to participate in committee activities; surveys; improvement initiatives; and continued education.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

• Completion of approved Surgical Technology Program

Minimum Work Experience:

• No previous experience

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• CPR-BCLS
• Must maintain a valid surgical technologist certification

Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities:

• Deals effectively with hospital personnel
• Advocate of quality and cost effective care
• Maintains professional appearance at all times
• Ability to handle confidential information
