Job Description Job Description Central Washington Asphalt, Inc is hiring for a Trucking Boss in our Moses Lake, WA location. The position will be responsible for working with our current team of CDL drivers to coordinate scheduling of on-time deliveries to meet the needs of our customers. Excellent organization and time management skills are a must. Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, managers and customers is essential to succeed in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Communicate with management and dispatch to ensure sufficient coverage to meet the changing needs of the business * Be available to team members to ensure consistent two-way communication to keep team on track and resolve problems quickly. * Inspect paperwork daily for thoroughness and completion prior to submission. * Maintain IFTA mileage documentation program * Available to work a flexible schedule which may include early morning hours or evening work. Required Skills & Certifications * Current Class A CDL license with a driving record within MVR policy guidelines. * Experience with airbrakes and standard transmission. * Excellent knowledge of all USDOT and FMCSA safety regulations. * Ability to perform incidental work as may be necessary (i.e. vehicle maintenance, dispatching, batch plant maintenance). * Strong communication skills to work with drivers, customers, management and dispatch. * Must be able to problem solve. Able to devise solutions quickly and effectively. * Physically demanding job. Must be able to lift heavy loads, load & unload equipment setting and moving equipment as necessary to complete tasks. * In this position you will be working outside in all types of weather. Subject to extremely high and low temperatures and inclement weather. This is not a desk job.
