Job Description
The Caregiver Live In provides compassionate and consistent support to adult individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Working within a care team, the caregiver helps ensure clients' comfort, safety, and well-being through personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and health monitoring. This role involves live-in responsibilities with specific evening and overnight shifts, occasionally accompanying care recipients on community outings while adhering to agency protocols.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
- Administer medications according to instructions
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment
- Monitor health and report changes to care team
- Support care recipient during occasional community travel
- Work within care team support structure following agency protocols
- Maintain live-in shift hours: 6:00 pm to 9:00 am on weekdays and live-in on weekends
Required Qualifications
- Background check
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in patient care and medication management
- Basic cooking skills for meal preparation
- Housekeeping abilities
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Valid drivers license - good driving record
Needed Qualifications
- One or more years of caregiving experience
Weekend Live-In Shift 8 am Saturday to Monday 8 am
