Substitute Teacher

Hankinson Public School is seeking dependable, flexible, and student‑focused individuals to serve as substitute teachers. Substitutes play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students when regular classroom teachers are absent. Position Overview Substitute teachers provide classroom instruction, supervision, and support across grade levels as needed. This is a great opportunity for retired educators, college students, community members, or anyone interested in supporting education. Responsibilities Include Following lesson plans and instructions left by the classroom teacher Maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment Supporting student learning and engagement Communicating effectively with school staff Supervising students during class periods and assigned duties Qualifications North Dakota substitute teacher license (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage a classroom and adapt to different situations Positive attitude and commitment to student success Compensation Substitute teachers are paid at a rate of $140 per full day or $70 per half day Complimentary lunch is provided for substitute teachers #J-18808-Ljbffr Hankinson School District 8
