Heavy Equipment Operator

We are looking for experienced equipment operators to operate Track hoe, Dozer, Backhoe and other heavy construction equipment. Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities Set up and maintenance of erosion control Load and unload materials Shovel dirt, gravel, and materials General clean up around job site Check and maintain grade stakes Monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly Perform daily maintenance checks Ensure all tools are stored properly at the end of each shift. Perform minor repairs to the equipment if needed Responsible for notifying department lead of any potential safety or equipment issues immediately. Responsible for following processes and procedures correctly. Responsible for wearing appropriate clothing, shoes, and personnel protective equipment. Competencies Must have the ability to acquire understanding and absorb new information (a quick study). Must have the ability to be careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks. Must have the ability to work in a team setting and establish collaborative peer relationship. Must have the ability to detect problems, errors, omissions, miscalculations, and non-compliance against requirements. Must have the ability to plan, organize, schedule work in efficient and productive manner. Ability to focus on key priority, juggles multiple projects, and manages time effectively. Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements Must have reliable transportation Must have ability to work 8-10 hours/day, 5-6 days/week Some Overtime will be required, but not guaranteed each week. Days only, no nights, some weekends Summary The machine operator will operate equipment to achieve overall ride quality and appearance.
