Night Shift Maintenance Technician - Frac Sand Facility

Night Shift Maintenance TechnicianArepet Industries is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Night Shift Maintenance Technician to support operations at our frac sand load out facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment including rotary dryers, conveyor systems, hoppers, motors, bearings, and related processing equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations during night shift hours. The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on plant equipment and machineryTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues during operationsRepair and maintain rotary dryers, conveyor belts, rollers, hoppers, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related equipmentRespond quickly to equipment breakdowns and operational issues to minimize downtimeConduct welding, fabrication, and minor structural repairs as neededReplace worn or damaged components including belts, bearings, chains, pulleys, and motorsMaintain housekeeping standards in maintenance and production areasComplete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and repair documentation accuratelyFollow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and MSHA regulationsCoordinate with operations personnel to ensure efficient production flowAssist with startup and shutdown procedures for plant equipment when necessaryIdentify and communicate potential equipment failures or safety concerns proactivelyPerform other related duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferredExperience in aggregate, frac sand, mining, asphalt, cement, or similar industrial environments preferredKnowledge of conveyors, rotary equipment, motors, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumaticsBasic electrical troubleshooting experience preferredWelding and fabrication experience strongly preferredAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectivelyAbility to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and work ordersStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionReliable attendance and ability to work night shift schedule consistentlyAbility to safely operate a telehandler/SkyTrak forklift and other mobile equipment as needed for maintenance and operational supportMust be comfortable working at heights, including elevated platforms, catwalks, ladders, and equipment structuresMust be comfortable working in confined spaces in accordance with company safety procedures and permit requirementsAbility to safely perform duties in a physically demanding industrial environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularlyAbility to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in industrial environments for extended periodsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsMust be able to wear required PPE including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, and steel-toe bootsWork EnvironmentThis position operates in an industrial frac sand load out facility with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, dust, vibration, noise, and outdoor weather conditions.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay, based on experienceOvertime opportunities may be availableBenefits package available based on company policySafety Sensitive PositionThis position is classified as a safety-sensitive position due to the operation, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial equipment and machinery.
