Position Title: Mechanical Superintendent.

Location: Ruffin, North Carolina.

The Mechanical Superintendent oversees all piping and mechanical activities on the project, ensuring the successful execution of projects in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. This role involves coordinating with engineering teams, managing construction crews, and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise and coordinate mechanical and piping activities, including installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and equipment.
2. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards throughout all piping operations.
3. Collaborate with engineering teams to review project plans, specifications, and schedules, providing input and recommendations as needed.
4. Manage construction crews and subcontractors, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
5. Conduct regular inspections of piping systems and equipment to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.
6. Coordinate logistics for materials, tools, and equipment required for piping projects, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project expenses, providing reports and updates to project managers and stakeholders.
8. Implement quality control measures to ensure that piping systems meet design specifications and performance requirements.
9. Provide technical guidance and training to staff and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current and valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test.
• BAT and background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk extended distances over uneven terrain, including while carrying tools, materials, or equipment.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs using three points of contact.
• Ability to safely transition from ladders to elevated work surfaces, including scaffolding and platforms.
• Ability to work safely at elevated heights, including but not limited to work performed on scaffolding (supported and suspended), ladders, stairs, manlifts, aerial lifts (boom lifts and scissor lifts), elevated decks, platforms, structural steel, and temporary work surfaces.
• May require working up to 7 days a week, 12 hours a day.
